Head of Sales

AwayPlan is looking for an enthusiastic sales director to lead our sales and business development channels. We are a young team, with a fun, informal working environment where you can enjoy flat hierarchies, training opportunities / trade events and a competitive salary with an equity option.

The Job

Reporting to the CEO, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead our team of in-house account managers and front line sales ninjas
  • Set up and continually optimize successful sales processes for both existing and new B2B customers
  • Create and prioritise strategic key account lists
  • Identifying and analyse new market opportunities
  • Attend industry events to strengthen and expand our travel network

About You


  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of sales success
  • Hands on professional who has experience dealing with a large network of small businesses (preferably in travel industry)
  • A love of talking with key B2B customers, both new and existing, to provide insights back to marketing and product on customer needs
  • An internet savvy travel enthusiast
  • Excellent English skills (other languages are a bonus)


  • Experience working in startups and/or comfortable working in an fast paced, small team environment and multi-tasking
  • University or Business School education in a relevant field of study
  • 3+ years experience B2B sales management, account management or business development
